Tomato Basil Tartine

Ingredients

  • 1 (15-ounce) loaf CHABASO® Stone-Ground Wheat Ciabatta

  • ½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 1 head garlic, divided

  • 4 cups cherry tomatoes

  • 1 (8-ounce) container Mascarpone

  • 10 to 15 fresh basil leaves

  • --ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to broil setting (high).

2. Cut Ciabatta in half and then into 6, equally-sized portions. Set aside.

3. In a small sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

4. Add garlic and stir, reduce heat to medium and slowly toast until garlic is light goldenbrown in color.

5. Remove pan from heat, remove garlic from pan with slotted spoon and transfer to apaper towel lined plate to drain. Season lightly with salt.

6. Reserve oil from pan, transferring it to a small bowl.

7. Toss tomatoes with 2 tablespoons reserved oil and season with salt.
