Homestyle French Toast

This recipe transforms Chabaso Cranberry Pecan loaf into a delicious, cinnamon-infused French toast, topped with fruit, whipped cream, and maple syrup for a perfect breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup, plus more for topping
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 Chabaso Cranberry Pecan loaf, cut into thick slices
  • Favorite fruit & whipped topping for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1.Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. 2. Gently rub produce under cold running water.
  3. 3. Mix maple syrup. almond milk. cinnamon, and vanilla in a large, shallow dish. Place in the fridge to activate for 10-20 minutes.
  4. 4. Preheat griddle to medium heat (350F degrees) and grease with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. 5. Dip each slice of bread in the batter for about 20 seconds on each side [if your batter is too thick, thin with a bit of almond milk].
  6. 6. Place on griddle and cook until golden brown on the underside. Carefully flip and cook until the other side is golden brown as well - 3-4 minutes.
  7. 7. Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
  8. Note: We went with a whipped topping, fruit. and maple syrup.
