Homestyle French Toast
This recipe transforms Chabaso Cranberry Pecan loaf into a delicious, cinnamon-infused French toast, topped with fruit, whipped cream, and maple syrup for a perfect breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup, plus more for topping
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 Chabaso Cranberry Pecan loaf, cut into thick slices
- Favorite fruit & whipped topping for garnish
Instructions
- 1.Wash hands with soap and water.
- 2. Gently rub produce under cold running water.
- 3. Mix maple syrup. almond milk. cinnamon, and vanilla in a large, shallow dish. Place in the fridge to activate for 10-20 minutes.
- 4. Preheat griddle to medium heat (350F degrees) and grease with nonstick cooking spray.
- 5. Dip each slice of bread in the batter for about 20 seconds on each side [if your batter is too thick, thin with a bit of almond milk].
- 6. Place on griddle and cook until golden brown on the underside. Carefully flip and cook until the other side is golden brown as well - 3-4 minutes.
- 7. Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
- Note: We went with a whipped topping, fruit. and maple syrup.
